CARB CLEANING / DYNAMO WORKS LIMITED
Terms & conditions.
Version 14 October 2026 · UK postal cleaning service
Optional stripping costs extra. Old and fragile parts can fail despite care. You pay outward and return postage. We do not reassemble components. These terms do not exclude liability where the law prevents us doing so.
1. Who we are and the service
Carb Cleaning is operated by Dynamo Works Limited, company number 17249323, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: Flat 52 Kinglake House, Denman Avenue, Southall, England, UB2 4GA. Our service and correspondence address is 52 Kinglake House, Denman Avenue, Southall, UB2 4GA. Email: admin@carbcleaning.co.uk.
We assess, optionally strip where expressly agreed for an additional charge, ultrasonically clean suitable carburettor components, and return them unassembled. We use branded Sealey fluid. This is a cleaning service, not restoration, repair, rebuilding, polishing, reassembly, calibration, tuning or certification of fitness for use.
2. Requests, quotes and agreement
An online request is an invitation for us to quote, not acceptance of work. Give accurate descriptions, quantities, dimensions, materials, condition, known damage and any previous repairs. Tell us before acceptance if an item is unusually valuable, irreplaceable, coated or fragile. We may decline unsuitable items.
Our written quote will identify cleaning, any stripping charge, return packing and postage, applicable taxes, total payable and anticipated turnaround. Outward postage is arranged and paid separately by you. A contract starts when you accept the quote and we confirm acceptance in writing. We provide the agreed information and these terms by email or another retainable format. Additional work or charges require your agreement; a payment link alone does not authorise them.
3. Optional stripping and fragile-part risks
Stripping is optional, separately priced and carried out only with your agreement. If you do not select stripping, supply appropriately dismantled parts ready for cleaning. We may pause and quote if further dismantling is needed.
Ageing metal, corrosion, seized threads, brittle castings, fragile jets, old seals and previous repairs may fail during reasonable handling, dismantling or cleaning. Removing dirt can expose pre-existing cracks, porosity, wear or defects. Finishes or staining may change, and contamination may not be fully removable. We do not promise a like-new appearance, successful stripping or a working carburettor.
You accept these inherent risks where they occur despite our reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for pre-existing defects or unavoidable age-related failure that we did not cause through breach of duty. This is not a waiver for negligent handling or damage caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill. If we identify a material new risk, we will stop and ask for instructions. We will not force a seized component or undertake destructive removal without specific written agreement.
4. No reassembly
All stripped components are returned unassembled. We do not reassemble, set up, adjust, pressure-test, fit or certify your carburettor. You must arrange competent inspection, replacement of unserviceable parts, reassembly and testing before use. Do not assume a cleaned component is serviceable or safe to fit.
5. Postage, packing and delivery
You pay all outward and return postage, packing and any agreed carrier cover, including an agreed return charge if you decide not to proceed after assessment or if an item is unsuitable, except where consumer law requires us to bear or refund a cost. Return costs must be disclosed and agreed before acceptance. We do not add undisclosed fees.
Wait for confirmation before posting. Drain all fuel and oil, comply with carrier restrictions, protect fragile parts individually and include your order reference and an inventory. Use tracked delivery with cover appropriate to the declared value. You are responsible for suitable outward packing and the carrier you engage.
We take reasonable care of items in our possession and pack returns appropriately. Where we arrange return carriage for a consumer, we do not transfer our legal responsibility for delivery to you merely because you pay the postage. Carrier exclusions or compensation limits do not override your rights against us. Tell us promptly about a delivery problem and retain packaging to help investigation; this does not impose a shorter statutory claim deadline.
6. Payment and timing
Pay through the secure provider link after checking and accepting the quote. We do not collect card details on this site. Any stripping supplement must be accepted before it begins. Payment and the agreed return delivery charge must be settled before normal dispatch. Any delay or changed scope will be communicated; no fixed completion date is promised unless agreed in writing.
7. Consumer cancellation
If you are a consumer entering a distance service contract, you normally have 14 days after the day the contract is made to cancel without giving a reason. Notify us by email, post or another clear statement using the contact details above. You may use the form below but do not have to.
We will not start within that period unless you separately expressly request an early start. If you then cancel, you pay only the proportionate amount properly due for services supplied following that request. Your right to cancel ends once the service is fully performed only if you first expressly requested early performance and acknowledged that consequence. Accepting these terms or paying a quote alone does not constitute that request.
We make any refund due without undue delay and within 14 days of being told of cancellation, normally using the original payment method. Necessary, disclosed and agreed return carriage for your own items remains payable where lawful. Cancellation does not permit charges that the law prohibits. Outside the cancellation period, contact us before further work: any cancellation charge will reflect actual reasonable loss, with credit for savings, and will not be an automatic forfeiture of all payments.

8. Responsibility and complaints
We provide services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any responsibility or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory rights, including appropriate repeat performance or a price reduction, remain intact.
Subject to those rights, we do not compensate for pre-existing damage, unavoidable inherent deterioration, or losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made. We do not impose a blanket exclusion for breakages or a fixed cap that removes a consumer’s lawful remedies. If you believe we caused damage or performed the service incorrectly, stop using the part and contact us with your reference and details so we can investigate and agree an appropriate remedy.
9. General
These terms apply to the agreed order; later website changes do not alter an existing contract. If a clause cannot be enforced, the remaining terms continue where possible. English law applies, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your UK home nation. Consumers may bring proceedings in the courts available to them under applicable law.
